Juan Corcoran Wins NL Trophy
Monday, August 23rd , 2032
Cincinnati fans have something to crow about today as Cincinnati second baseman Juan Corcoran nabbed the National League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.
"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Corcoran.
He posted a .560 average (14-for-25) this past week with 1 home run, 4 RBIs, and 5 runs scored.
This year, Corcoran has hit at a .282 clip with 119 hits, 17 home runs, 64 RBIs and 51 runs scored.
