Los Angeles got a first-rate effort from pitcher Saxby Lucas, who frustrated Baltimore hitters en route to a 3-1 Dinos triumph at Hurricane Rice Arena. Lucas, the winner, moves to 14-8. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. James Forbes got the save, his 23rd in 25 chances.

The outcome might have been different for Los Angeles, had it not been for Cole Riley, the 25-year old catcher . Riley stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Los Angeles up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"I really like what we did out there today," Lucas said after the game.

With the win over Baltimore, the Dinos improved to 81-70.
