Steffen Gets Award for Relief Work

Tod Steffen came out of the bullpen and worked through tough situations all year, and for his performance he's been named the recipient of the Import League Last Call Relief Award for 2056.
The 30-year-old out of Lambertville, New Jersey captured the award with 33 saves in 83 relief appearances, 205 strikeouts in 151.1 innings and a record of 7 wins and 10 losses to go with his 2.14 ERA.
"I'm thankful, it's a great honor," he told Baseball News Network.
Andy Phillips of the Baltimore Bulldogs finished second in voting, while R.V. Weatherby of the Windy City Blues finished third.

Carolina's Spence Elbows His Way to IL Award

The Import League announced today that Charlie Spence has been chosen the Pale Ale Pitcher Award winner for 2056. The Carolina hurler had everything working for him as he cruised to an outstanding 21-4 record.
Spence put up an impressive 2.51 ERA in his award-winning season. He started 33 times, worked 233 innings, yielded 169 hits, walked 62, fanned 365 and held opposing hitters to a .202 average.
Oliver Lanham of the Baltimore Bulldogs finished second in voting, while Rahjon Anderson of the Seattle Pilots finished third.

IL's Premier Player for 2056 Named

He may have less experience than most of his Brewers League Baseball peers, but that didn't slow Evan Turner down at all in 2056.
At the age of 23, the Carolina left fielder has been named the winner of the Import League Stout Slugger Award.
He had a .332 batting average and a .389 on-base percentage this year. In 155 games he piled up 196 hits, 51 doubles, 9 triples, 28 home runs, 100 RBIs and 100 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
Parker Lee of the Washington Bats finished second in voting, while Andy Dillon of the Washington Bats finished third.
