Skipper Boggs's Goose Cooked -- Fired in Coeur d'Alene
Sunday, September 9th , 2040
Coeur d'Alene has fired manager Ken Boggs.
"We were not doing the things you've got to do every day," Striking Miners general manager Armando Saravia told reporters. "We saw that things were not going to change. We had huge expectations coming into the season and we did not live up to them."
The current coaching staff will be assigned to run the ballclub in the interim until a new manager can be hired. Boggs was told of his dismissal yesterday morning and was not available for comment.
The Coeur d'Alene spokesman called it a "sensitive and emotional" meeting with Boggs -- and would not discuss whether Boggs would be offered another job in the Striking Miners system.
