Good production from shortstop Pete Reeves helped the Billings Bighorns topple the Pocatello Old Timers, 11-3. Reeves was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Bighorns. The winning pitcher was reigning Pitcher of the Year Award winner Rodolfo Mercado. He tossed 108 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The Bighorns improved their record to 15-17 by beating Pocatello.

With Billings leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Reeves hit a cutter from Vernon Lummis for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Bighorns ahead, 4-0.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Reeves told the Billings Observer.
