Coeur d'Alene Slaps 5-4 Loss on Billings
The Coeur d'Alene Striking Miners overcame a good performance by Billings third baseman Josh Venturini to knock off Billings, 5-4, at Custers Last Stand. Venturini was 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2. Coeur d'Alene is now 45-34, Billings 43-36.

Johnny Patter, who is on pace for 71 RBI this season, helped out the Coeur d'Alene cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.

"Both teams played hard," said Coeur d'Alene manager Ken Boggs.
