The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Billings fans at Custers Last Stand.

Behind an impressive start by Quinn Horner, Billings beat Great Falls, 4-1. Billings occupies second place in the Pioneers Conference Plains Division at 35-30.

Billings took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Rodolfo Mercado hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Bighorns in front, 2-1.

Said losing manager Jake Dickinson: "Give the Bighorns credit. They played a better game than we did."
