Atlanta Swaps Payne to Fargo-Moorhead for Nedo

The Sunchasers have reached a deal with Fargo-Moorhead, sending 26-year old LHP Jeff Payne to the RedHawks in exchange for 24-year old CF Phil Cottolengo and 23-year old RF Angel Nedo. Reports had been hinting at a deal in recent days, but weren't confirmed until this afternoon.

The Boys of the Diamond will soon be here in all their radiant glory to put some sparkle, purpose, and meaning back into the lives of baseball fans everywhere. There will be many of those seemingly meaningless exhibition games, but they do have an important purpose -- to prepare teams for the coming regular season. The 2040 Frontier League schedule has been announced, and the preseason starts today.
