Nolasco Goes on Rampage Against Legion
|
The Lincoln Argonauts stopped the Chandler Legion by a score of 11-1 at Argonauts Ballpark today, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Mike Nolasco. The 24-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Nolasco said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Nolasco did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Legion.
"Not much that I can say," offered Chandler manager Tim Porell. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Mike Nolasco singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
For the year Nolasco has hit at a .289 clip with 18 RBIs, 1 home run and 26 runs scored.
