The San Antonio Skeeters defeated the Sacramento Sharps, 7-3, in Western League action at Skeeter Park. San Antonio pitcher Ethan Jolley had a standout performance. Jolley picked up the win for San Antonio, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. The loss puts Sacramento at 8-7.

Tom Anderson had a big 2-run double for the Skeeters in the bottom of the third inning. With San Antonio leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Sorin Roman, who signed a 4-year contract worth $82,000,000 on 01/23/2009, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Skeeters ahead, 5-1.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Jolley said.
