|
Brooklyn parlayed a decent outing from starter Brian Turner into a solid win over the Asheville Tourists. The final score was 6-3. Turner got the win, improving to 9-7. He gave up 8 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The Hoodrats improved their record to 35-50 with the win over Asheville.
Pat Hensley helped out the Brooklyn cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher was 1-3.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hensley. "And not try to do too much."
