Gothams Clip Reds 4-3 in DS Contest
|
With starter Donovan Dooks leading the charge, the New York Gothams defeated the Providence Reds, 4-3, in Game 3 of the Division Series today. The right-hander threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs at Polo Grounds to help New York take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Ghi-cheng Gou drove in one run for New York. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the seventh, Gou came through with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Gothams in front, 4-3.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Dooks said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Polo Grounds in New York.
