Tourists Clip River Bandits, 2-1, in DS Contest
The Asheville Tourists got a strong game from starter Jeremy Lutz, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Tourists took the 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh River Bandits in Game 2 of the Division Series in a 9th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Lutz. Lutz threw 7.2 innings of 1-hit ball in the win, which brought the Tourists into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Dan Gutierrez was the walk-off hero for Asheville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tourists first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Gutierrez.

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 13th , 2091 at NRCS Field in Pittsburgh.
