Ed Moraine was superb against New York. The left-hander, who finished 4th in the EL in strikeouts with 154 in 2085, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Knights victory. The score was 4-3. Matt Graves picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Nate Travis suffered the loss. The Knights now have a record of 43-38.

The decisive blow was delivered by Erik Dempsey in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Nate Travis to win the game for Lowell. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was jumping at the end," Dempsey said.
