The Schenectady Blue Jays eked out a 3-2 win versus the Brooklyn Hoodrats at McNearney Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Matt Sanders. He was terrific. Robby Hernández closed it out for his 21st save. The second-place Blue Jays now sit at 38-36.

Bobby Espinoza helped out the Schenectady cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher went 1-3.

Espinoza attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
