Pittsburgh picked up a win at NRCS Field, bumping off the Tri-City ValleyCats, 6-3. Pitcher Frank Charron was a major reason the River Bandits emerged victorious. Charron picked up the win for Pittsburgh, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-5. The win for the River Bandits raised their record to 35-31.

Pittsburgh first baseman Miguel Martinez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the River Bandits ahead, 2-1.
