Fallon Now 13-8 After Beating Hoodrats
|
In a tension-filled contest between the Pittsburgh River Bandits and the Brooklyn Hoodrats, pitcher Wayne Fallon was superb. The Pittsburgh right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in complete games with 1, spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. The victory gives Pittsburgh a record of 81-77.
Fallon, the winner, is now 13-8. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 3 hits, while collecting 6 Ks. He essentially shut down the Brooklyn offense.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Brooklyn manager Mike McMahon.
