ValleyCats Need Extra Innings to Top Blue Jays, 5-3
|
The Tri-City ValleyCats beat the Schenectady Blue Jays, 5-3. Tri-City pitcher and Cedar Park, Texas, native Pat Vega led the way. Tri-City is now 75-82.
Tri-City used a clutch hit from Micah Marshall to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the ValleyCats ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Vega.
