A good performance from second baseman Justin Johnson helped the Detroit Diesel defeat the Portland Beavers, 3-2. Johnson went 4 for 6 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk for the Diesel. The win gives Detroit a season record of 84-72.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Detroit right fielder Juan Gonzalez, facing Chris Fazio, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Diesel the 3-2 win.

"We found a way to get it done," Johnson said.
