Austin Defeated By Bombers, 3-1
|
Bombers Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the Austin Dark Horses and Bryan Bombers.
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Bryan Bombers and the Austin Dark Horses. Bryan won it, 3-1. Bryan starter Carlos García was in command. Gus Beck earned the save for Bryan, his 38th.
Mike Sturner helped out the Bryan cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We busted our tails," said Austin manager Brian Barrett. "But we came up short."
The second-place Bombers have won 4 straight.
