Battan Helps Otters Beat Bombers, 8-6
Ryan Battan impressed in the 8-6 Evansville win over Bryan. Battan, who is a two-time The Ozzie Glove winner, went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. The win went to Rafael Reyes in relief, making him now 4-2. Mike St.george took the loss for Bryan. The last-place Otters have won 10 straight games.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Otters grabbed the lead when Battan hit his 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Mike St.george made it 8-5, Evansville.

"We got the victory," said Battan. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
