The Austin Dark Horses picked up a win at Austin Hippodrome, knocking off the Evansville Otters, 7-4. Starting pitcher Marco Helguera played a key role in the triumph. Derrek Brooks earned his 7th save, after closing out the game. The Dark Horses lead the Western League Duffy Division by 7 games.

Austin took a 7-4 lead on Christian Adair's 15th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Adair hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Evansville pitcher Rafael Reyes visibly frustrated.

"Marco was commanding his pitches," said Austin manager Brian Barrett.
