Evansville right-hander Shunsho Koyama helped his team edge Portland by the score of 3-2. Koyama kept the opposing lineup in check. The second-place Otters have won 4 straight games.

The Otters procured the win, in large part because of catcher Raúl Muñóz. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Koyama.
