Breakers Earn 5-4 Win Versus Goldeyes
The San Francisco Breakers finished off the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 5-4. Much of the credit belonged to right fielder Jimmy Clarke. Clarke went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Breakers. Don McIntyre recorded the save for San Francisco, his 14th of the season. The Breakers bumped their record to 25-25 with this win.

Had Clarke not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Clarke hit a run-scoring single. The Breakers took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.

"It was a pretty good night," said Clarke.
