The Lowell Knights defeated the New York Gothams, 5-4, in Eastern League action at Polo Grounds. P.J. Clark pulled his weight. The 19-year veteran went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Don Tanner. His record now stands at 5-2. The left-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Knights.
