Breakers Rally For Late Win Over Royals
The San Francisco Breakers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Nate Brooks. The left-hander kept the Guelph offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 San Francisco victory at Breakers Park. Don Rice finished the game for San Francisco and earned his 7th save. With the win, San Francisco upped its record to 26-21.

Had Lance Barber not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Barber hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Breakers.

"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Barber. "Those qualities define our team."
