Jeremy Lutz, who finished 3rd in the WL in innings pitched with 208.1 in 2085, never let the Otters get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Dark Horses to a win, 3-0. Mike Benford closed the game out for Austin, earning his 7th save. Austin, now 20-12, has played well in the early going.

The Otters had trouble solving Lutz, who surrendered no runs on 3 hits over 9 innings.

"Jeremy gave us a huge shot in the arm," said Austin manager Brian Barrett.
