Breakers Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Breakers Park was the site of quite a ballgame.
Guelph right fielder Luis Manuel Díaz was sensational. He was 1-4 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. San Francisco beat the Royals, 6-5. Artie Roberson, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings.
The Breakers procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Pablo Hidalgo. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This place was electric at the end," Hidalgo said.
The Breakers keep rolling, raising their record to 16-6.
