River Bandits Deal Goldeyes 6-3 Defeat
Pittsburgh and Winnipeg duked it out and the River Bandits came out victorious.

Bobby Trygg impressed in the 6-3 Pittsburgh win over Winnipeg. Trygg, who led the EL in OPS with .947 last year, was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Goldeyes fall to 8-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2087 season.

It could have been a different outcome for Pittsburgh, had it not been for Jou Yamaguchi, the two-time All-Star . Yamaguchi contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Pittsburgh up, 2-0.

"I told our guys, 'Runs don't score by themselves,'" said Trygg. "You need someone to get on base and someone to drive them in."
