ValleyCats Lose By a Run at Austin
Austin pitcher Jeremy Lutz did his part in helping his team beat the Tri-City ValleyCats, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Lutz picked up the win for Austin, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. Mike Benford got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

Howard Pruitt chipped in a 3-run home run for Austin in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
