The Providence Reds downed the Tri-City ValleyCats, 10-5. The hitting star was first baseman Andy Gutowski. Gutowski was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Reds. Simon Prochaska closed it out for Providence, earning his 27th save. Providence is now 59-83, Tri-City 80-62.

Javier Ochoa had a big 2-run double for the Reds in the bottom of the first inning. With Providence trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Mike Mills and swatted a double to left. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Reds ahead, 2-1.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Ochoa.
