The Pittsburgh River Bandits dealt the Boston Ninja Black Sox a 5-4 loss at Blacksox Ballpark. Bobby Trygg, who leads the EL with a 1.053 OPS, went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Earning the save was Micheal Mills. He's now cashed in 17 of 18 save opportunities. With the win, the River Bandits hiked their record to 69-69.

Pittsburgh took a 4-3 lead on Kyle Pearson's 21st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Pearson hit in the top of the eighth, left Boston pitcher Josuke Imamura visibly frustrated.
