Miyamoto Homers Twice in 11-5 Gothams Win
New York took on Lowell in front of a lively crowd.

The New York Gothams beat the Lowell Knights, 11-5, at Pennant Field. The win was due in part to first baseman Takahiro Miyamoto, who was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 4. With the win, New York raised its record to 73-51.

New York shortstop Carlos Luna helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"Nice win for us," said Miyamoto. "Now we'll go after the next one."
