He held Tri-City to 1 run on 6 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. The ValleyCats fall to 4-9 and continue their lackluster start to the 2089 season.

With Detroit leading 4-1 in the top of the sixth, Fields hit a fastball from Matt Thiel for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Diesel ahead, 8-1.

"I like winning," Fields told the Detroit Gazette. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
