Breakers Deal Bombers 2-1 Loss
|
Loren Palmer, who finished 2nd in the WL in innings pitched with 219.1 in 2081, was terrific for the San Francisco Breakers in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Bryan Bombers. His performance earned Palmer rave reviews. Palmer picked up the win for San Francisco, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 12-7. San Francisco has run its win streak to 4 straight.
San Francisco used the timely hitting of Lance Barber to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Breakers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Every loss stings," said Bryan manager Chris Johnson. "This one is no exception."
