Tourists Lose, 4-3, to Providence
|
The Providence Reds and Asheville Tourists played an exciting game.
The Providence Reds did just enough to sneak past the Asheville Tourists, 4-3, at Azalea Park. Providence pitcher Kyle Pimm, in particular, had a standout performance. The Reds, now 9-3, have played inspired baseball.
Taylor Sulzbach, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in RBI with 9, aided the Providence cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
After the game, Providence manager X. Animal applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
