Marino Pops Two Homers in 13-5 Win for Schenectady
The 13-5 Schenectady win over Pittsburgh was due largely to Pepe Marino. The Blue Jays right fielder slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 7. The winner was Phil Lukasik, who threw 78 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 6 hits. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 62-46 with this win.

Doug May dealt the River Bandits a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Schenectady leading 2-1, May, who finished 5th in the EL in RBI with 100 in 2081, hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"I still think this team can play even better," Marino told the Schenectady Bulletin.
