The New York Gothams overcame a good performance by Schenectady center fielder Tristan Stutz to knock off Schenectady, 6-5, at McNearney Stadium. Stutz went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2. The win puts New York at 6-6.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Keith Cole came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Schenectady pitcher Robby Hernández, he hit a 1-1 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting New York on top, 6-5.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Cole told the New York Herald. "It's as simple as that."
