Bakersfield's Maples Snaps Up Player of the Week

Andy Maples is respected by most Bakersfield Badgers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 23-year-old center fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Carolina League Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .370 average (10-for-27) with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
For the year, Maples is batting .240 with 21 home runs.
