Grasshoppers Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Tuesday, September 12th , 2023 It went the distance, but the Greensboro Grasshoppers finally disposed of the Montgomery Biscuits 15-3 in the series clincher at First National Bank Field. Winning the finale gave the Grasshoppers the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Greensboro left fielder Max Ferguson. He batted .276 in the series, collecting 11 RBIs and scoring 6 runs. "Max deserves it," said Grasshoppers manager Robby Hammock. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Round 2 matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
