Cuevas Rocks Travelers for 3 HRs
Friday, April 5th , 2024
Fans are still buzzing after Jersey Shore whipped the Arkansas Travelers by the score of 13-12 at Dickey-Stephens Park.
Dairon Cuevas smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the shortstop bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 4 times.
At the postgame press conference, Cuevas said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game.
"Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Cuevas said. "Three is just... wow."
Dairon Cuevas grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Joel Urena in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Victor Lopez in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Yonathan Gomez in the 7th.
Cuevas is hitting .182 in 2024 with 5 RBIs and 4 home runs.

Taylor Laces 3 HR Against West Michigan
Thursday, April 4th , 2024
Tulsa Drillers catcher Carson Taylor had a magnificent game against the West Michigan Whitecaps, rocketing three balls out of ONEOK Field to help the Drillers win, 14-4.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Taylor went 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Tulsa manager Scott Hennessey said later. "Seems like Carson found his home run stroke today."
Carson Taylor hit a two-run home run off Jackson Phipps in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Burrell Jones in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Burrell Jones in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
In the current season, Taylor has put up a .667 batting average with 10 hits, 5 home runs, 12 runs batted in and scored 9 runs.

Labas Sparkles in 13-0 Shutout
Thursday, April 4th , 2024
A.J. Labas put a hex on the Brooklyn Cyclones in a sparkling 13-0 shutout performance, mesmerizing them on a 4-hit gem.
"I felt good physically," he said after the game. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."
The Cyclones were anything but comfortable against the 25-year-old Hartford Yard Goats hurler, who fanned 12 and gave up 0 walks.
"Labas used his changeup very well, very effectively," said opposing manager Chris Newell. "He threw it in hitter's counts."
