Akron's Guerrero Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Friday, September 1st , 2023 Luis Guerrero did a number on the SeaWolves in the Akron 16-0 victory today, and the number was 5. The RubberDucks shortstop banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Canal Park to lead his club past the Erie SeaWolves. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Luis Guerrero doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Elvis Alvarado in the 8th. This year Guerrero is batting .253 with 43 hits, 7 home runs, 33 RBIs, 27 walks, .362 OBP and has scored 24 runs. |
