Johnston Fashions Shutout Against TinCaps Tuesday, August 29th , 2023 Reid Johnston of the Akron RubberDucks shut out the Fort Wayne TinCaps 4-0, stopped them on 4 hits and had 6 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing at Parkview Field today. "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," Akron manager Rouglas Odor said later. "When Reid stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key." Johnston has made 6 starts so far this year and put up a 5-1 won-lost record with a 4.16 ERA. In 62.2 innings he has allowed 57 hits, walked 13 and struck out 65. |
