Diaz Belts 3 HR Against Curaçao Monday, January 15th , 2024 Whatever Aledmys Diaz ate for breakfast before his game against the Curaçao, it gave him some impressive power. The Cuba second baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Curaçao Stadium. His home run barrage helped the Cuba defeat the Curaçao, 21-1. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 5-for-5, scored 5 times, drove in 5 and put on a display that history will remember. Aledmys Diaz hit a three-run home run off Jaydenn Estanista in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jamdrick Cornelia in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Michael Vilchez in the 6th, walked in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. |
