Cassiani Belts Bunch of Base Hits
|
Estanlin Cassiani exploded for a barrage of base hits today at The Diamond.
The Richmond right fielder had a field day in the 15-4 triumph over the Vaughan Black Aces, finishing 5-for-5.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Cassiani must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Estanlin Cassiani walked in a run in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This season Cassiani is hitting at a .292 pace with 4 home runs, 34 RBIs and has scored 28 times.
