Las Vegas Moves on to Round 2

Las Vegas Gaels fans are rejoicing after a 5-3 win at Gaels Ballpark has propelled the club to a 4-1 Round 1 victory over the Denver Zephyrs.
With the win, the club advanced on to the Round 2.
"Total team effort, that's the only way we get it done in this one," said Las Vegas first baseman Daniel Valle, who was named series MVP.
The Las Vegas Gaels don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs - Sugar Land Skeeters series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on September 18th , 2039.

McElyea Takes Home ATL Batting Title

Jarrod McElyea, the talented Long Island first baseman, has added to his list of accomplishments the Atlantic League batting title.
The 31-year-old McElyea finished the season with a .343 average to earn the accolade. In his standout year he also had 173 hits, 27 doubles, 2 triples, and 61 home runs. McElyea played in 139 games, drove in 160 runs, and scored 115 times.
