The Math Says - Aces Out of Playoffs

The Reno Aces organization won't be ending this season in celebration. The team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today.
This is the club's 5th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2034. In total, the Aces have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 20-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Aces have made the playoffs 5 times. Reno last won the Round 2 in 2032.

Fresno Sits Atop Pacific Conference North Division

"We're not done yet!"
That was the resounding sentiment in the Fresno Grizzlies locker room when they were told they had clinched the Pacific Conference North Division title, for the 3rd time. With a 80-54 record, Fresno's stars certainly feel like they have a good chance to go all the way.
"We've learned a lot under Russ Steinhorn's tutelage this year. He's taught us to never be over-confident, and to play every game like a championship game. I think with him and the team we have, we have a great chance to bring a 1st championship to Fresno this year," said left fielder Eddie Baker.

The Math Says - Tacoma Out of Playoffs

The Tacoma Rainiers may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Pacific Coast League. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today.
"I feel like we have a great group," Rainiers manager Javier Castillo said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season."
The Rainiers have missed the playoffs 18 times in their 20 years as a Pacific Coast League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2037. In the last 10 seasons, the Rainiers have missed the playoffs 8 times.
