Injury Takes Toll, Carter Boyd Out Wednesday, August 24th , 2039 The Milwaukee Brewers and their fans were rocked today by the news that star starting pitcher Carter Boyd would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Boyd was hurt in a recent game against the Toronto Blue Jays while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. His doctors think that Boyd will miss about 13 months. This year Boyd has 5 wins and 5 losses and a 4.31 ERA. |
