Diamondbacks Phil Vigil Wins AL Award Monday, August 22nd , 2039 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the American League, but last week Phil Vigil of the Arizona Diamondbacks reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Vigil rocked opposing pitching for a .591 average (13-for-22), 1 home run and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. To date this season Vigil is hitting .286 with 18 home runs. |
