Ramos Sizzles -- Smokes Nationals for 5 Hits Saturday, August 13th , 2039 Tony Ramos was sizzling at the plate today. In a game played at Nationals Park, the Boston first baseman blistered the Washington Nationals for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 7-4 victory. "Ramos was too tough to get out today," Nationals skipper Kawika Emsley-Pai said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Tony Ramos singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Andy Foley in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. This year Ramos has socked 125 hits in 467 at-bats for a .268 average with 19 home runs. He is getting on base at a .328 pace and his totals also include 73 RBIs and 69 runs scored.
